About First Union Church

Our Doctrinal Beliefs

At First Union Church, we believe in:

the Holy Trinity

the authority of the Bible

the virgin birth

the fully God/fully man nature of Jesus

salvation by grace alone through faith alone

the errancy of scripture

the physical resurrection (the tomb is empty), and

the imminent second coming of Christ

We also believe in the power of prayer and the importance of living out our faith in our daily lives.

Our church family

We are a community of true believers who come from various denominational backgrounds. Our doctrines could be described as orthodox, evangelical, bible believing, and grace filled. In many ways, we do not fit any one denominational label, but the strongest influences come from Congregational and Presbyterian polity with Baptistic doctrinal perspectives.

Our Services

Our services are designed to help our members connect with God and grow in their faith. Preaching is from a teaching and learning emphasis, and the music includes both classic traditional hymnody and lighter contemporary worship music (such as from the Gaithers, the Gettys, and others of that style.
